Martin Limited Edition 0-17 Jason Isbell Signature
We’re honoured to offer No. 11 of just 50 Jason Isbell Signature Martin 0-17 guitars produced.
Here’s Martin’s description of the model:
The Martin 0-17 Jason Isbell is a limited-edition signature model inspired by the 1940 Martin he used to record his latest solo album, Foxes in the Snow. It features a solid sinker mahogany body and Adirondack spruce Golden Era scalloped X-bracing for warm, expressive tone. A sinker mahogany 1930s-style V neck and Brazilian rosewood fingerboard and bridge deliver a classic feel and premium playability. With 17-style appointments, a vintage-style gloss finish, and a signed paper label, this guitar captures the stripped-down sound and style that defines Jason’s latest work.
Limited to just 50 guitars, each includes a hardshell case and is strung with Martin strings designed in collaboration with Jason - built for players who value truth, tone, and timeless design.
A unique offering from Martin, this 0-17 Jason Isbell does an excellent job of capturing the vibe, look, and feel of the wartime 0-17 – a model that has been absent from Martin’s catalog for many decades. We applaud the company’s use of CITES-permitted Brazilian rosewood for the headplate, fretboard, and bridge, and are fans of this guitar’s deep nod to vintage.
With Waverly tuners, angled-bottom nut, ivoroid fretboard dots, 30’s V neck carve with thin neck heel, glued in through-cut saddle, and vintage gloss lacquer finish the Jason Isbell 0-17 is very much a vintage-spec model, but does share some modern Martin DNA under its skin. The bracing is red spruce with scalloped X brace and straight tone bars, and the back features the low, wide lower bracing that Martin only offers on their Authentics. The neck is truss-rod equipped, and the tortoise celluloid pickguard is affixed above the finish for better long-term serviceability.
This guitar’s paper label is hand-signed by Jason Isbell and is numbered 11 of 50.
With deluxe hardshell case.
