The classic mid-1960s Gibson J-45, complete with adjustable bridge, opaque sunburst finish, smaller neck carve, and that sweet, warm and slightly compressed tone that is so unique to Gibsons from that period.

This example remains in great shape and is without any cracks, bracing issues or repairs. What looks like two small back cracks are craze lines in the finish. The bridge has been reglued in years past, and much more recently the guitar has enjoyed a refret, a new nut, and a ceramic saddle insert care of our repair team, as well as a new set of Antique Acoustic bridge pins. Playability is perfect. The tuners are replacements for the original low quality individual tuners that Gibson was using in 1967. There are filled-in screw holes underneath the current tuners, and a few small chips on the headstock’s face by the new bushings.

A great looking guitar that’s fun to play, this J-45 is particularly rewarding to a guitarist with a light to medium right hand attack. It likes strumming and fingerstyle, as well as long walks in the park.

Round neck with a compact 1-9/16” nut width and comfortably deep .825” thickness at the 1st fret. Refretted with 80/40 fretwire and a 10” radius. Bone nut, ceramic saddle. 24.75” scale, 2-1/8” string spread at the saddle.

With non-original case.
