c.1971 Hagstrom HIIN Bass
Serial # 821233. The HIIN, or F200 Bass was introduced in the late 1960's and featured two very well received improvements over earlier Hagstrom models -- humbucker pickups, and potentiometers to replace the array of switches that forever confused Hagstrom users.
This HIIN is a gorgeous example of the model, and completely original. The instrument features a solid 1-piece mahogany body, bolt-on mahogany neck with Indian rosewood fingerboard, cherry red lacquer finish and nickel hardware. The bass is perfectly set up, and plays very nicely. Frets are unworn and level, electronics work cleanly, and there's really no playwear to speak of.
Short 30.5" scale neck, 1.5" nut width and rounded neck. Three way switching and typical 4 control wiring).
