1977 Ibanez Artist Model 2617 Ashbody
An iconic guitar of the late 1970's and early "80's the Ibanez Artist Model 2617 featured a sculpted, bookmatched, ash body with set-in maple neck, ornate pearl trimmings, ebony fingerboard, and gold hardware. Ibanez Super 80 humbuckers, half bone / half brass nut, heavy gold plated sustain block bridge and tailpiece, and big frets in an ebony fingerboard.
The Artist 2617 is a finely built guitar, albeit a solidly built one. If sustain is what you're after, there likely isn't a better way to find it.
The guitar is in great shape with the exception of visible corrosion to the metal parts. Set up is well done, and the guitar plays cleanly. Original throughout.
