1973 Gibson SG Special
Serial # 136088, pots dated mid-1973. A cool looking early 70's SG Special with mini-humbuckers and Bigsby vibrato. We don't use the term 'rock machine' that often at Folkway; but, with its classic hard-rock lines, slim long neck, and recent set up from our shop, that's exactly what this SG is. The mini-humbuckers pack a subtle punch that makes it the perfect instrument for that Friday night bar gig.
The guitar's tuners have been changed but it's otherwise in excellent condition, with light finish wear and some minor dings and scratches. Mahogany body, C carve neck with Pearloid block inlays, 1-9/16" nut, black plastic covered mini-humbuckers, 3-way toggle switch, 70's 'harmonica' bridge, Bigsby vibrato tailpiece and 24-5/8" scale. Moderate play wear to the frets, but plays cleanly up the neck.
With Gibson molded plastic hardshell case
