1987 Fender AVRI '57 Stratocaster

A lovely Foam Green Fender AVRI ’57 Stratocaster from the early days of the USA-made vintage reissue series. Back in 1987, the AVRI Strats were the most accurate reproductions of Fender’s pre-CBS models to leave the factory in over two decades. They were quite well received, needless to say, and laid the foundation for much of today’s Fender production.

This example is in excellent condition and is largely original. It features a vintage-spec one-piece maple neck with 7.25” radius and small frets, spaghetti logo, and a rounded carve. Alder body with vintage tremolo, single-ply pickguard, staggered pole pickups, and 4 bolt neck attachment. The pickups have fresh latex adjustment springs, and the 5 way switch is recent, but the guitar is otherwise unmodified. It weighs in at 7.5 lbs, has a 1-5/8” nut (actually a hair wider than 1-5/8”), and the pickups measure between 5.4 and 5.8 kohm. The neck depth is .83” at the 1st fret and .89” at the 12th.

With original case, hang tags, trem arm, warranty, and original Fender strap.
