1961 Fender Champ
A strong sounding tweed Fender Champ that’s been serviced and is ready for another 60 years of work. This 5F1 Champ features original transformers dated mid/late 1961, a new ceramic Jensen C8R speaker, original tweed, grill cloth, and heavily worn handle. Servicing included an update to the grounding and 3-prong plug, and cap replacement that retained the original Astron paper cap covers, which are all dated the 43rd week of 1961. There’s a hole in the lower back panel where an external speaker jack was once installed.
