2020 Pre-War Single-0 Brazilian Shade Top - Distress Level 1

This 14 fret Brazilian rosewood Size 0 flat top built by Pre-War Guitars was imported into Canada - with full CITES permits - by us a few years ago. The guitar remains in perfect condition and shows very little playwear. It was built with level 1 aging, and presents as new-old-stock, with gently crazed finish and only the slightest mechanical wear. Set up with 12s and low fingerstyle action, the Pre-War 0 Brazilian is the perfect recreation of the 1930s Martin that never was: a 14 fret 0-28.

CITES Brazilian rosewood back and sides, Adirondack red spruce top with scalloped bracing, 30’s neck design, with soft V carve, 1-3/4” nut width, 2-5/16” string spread at the bridge, and 24.9” scale. Bone nut and saddle, Waverly tuning machines, mid-sheen lacquer finish. The neck depth at the 1st fret measures .878”

Like all Pre-War guitars, this rosewood 0-sized beauty has a dark, smoky, old voice and sounds much older than it is. It’s responsive, and offers a string balance that favours its upper mids and trebles, and fills the low register with an articulate and clean bass that is disproportionate to the size of the guitar.

With original hardshell case and CITES import documentation.
