1959 Fender Princeton
An amazingly clean and original narrow panel Fender 5F2-A Princeton. This one is dated IG (July of 1959), and every dated part other than the pre-amp tube is original and dated late 1958 or early 1959, including the rectifier and power tube. The original tweed is in remarkably good shape, as are the handle and grill cloth. The baffle shows four non-original screw-holes from a 10” speaker that was installed at one point. The current speaker is the amplifier’s original, with matching IG date stamp.
A great sounding tweed Princeton, with gorgeous break-up and excellent volume. There’s a lot of reason why the ‘big box’ Fender Princetons are as popular as they are.
