Taylor's Builder Edition 614ce was designed to reconfigure our understanding of what a maple guitar can do. From the bottom up (or the top down, as it were) the Builder's Edition 614ce was designed around the sonic properties of maple, and every detail was massaged to bring maple's sonic highlights to the forefront. Beyond that, the guitar is simply beautiful to behold, with a gorgeous torrefied Sitka top, stylish bevelled cutaway, seamless armrest, and attractively understated trim.
V-Class bracing, Grand Auditorium body, figured big leaf maple back and sides, Silent Satin finish, ebony fingerboard and bridge, ES2 onboard electronics, and Gotoh 510 tuners. 1-3/4” nutwidth, 25.5” scale.
This example remains in near-perfect condition. There’s just a touch of fretwear and some finish shining by the soundhole to give away that the guitar was previously owned.
With original deluxe hardshell case.
