The Martin D-18 Satin Lefty is just exactly what you think it is – a satin-finished D-18. The guitar is identical in every way to the standard D-18 Lefty but features an attractive low sheen finish; and a price that’s significantly lower than the gloss-finished version. We’re fans.
Factory left-handed. This Martin D-18 Satin Lefty features mahogany and spruce body with scalloped bracing, tortoise binding and pickguard. Ebony fretboard and bridge, vintage style tuners and logo. 1-3/4” nut width, modified low oval neck carve with Performing Artist taper.
With Martin hardshell case, lifetime warranty, and some of the best tone Martin has injected into a mahogany Dreadnought since the 1940s.

Completely redesigned back in 2012, the new Martin D-18 combines the standard model with the D-18V, changing up the neck feel significantly. From the older Vintage series the new Martin D-18 borrowed scalloped and forward shifted bracing, ebony fingerboard and bridge, vintage appointments, and toned finish. From the standard series came the drop-in saddle and low-profile oval neck carve. Today’s Martin D-18 is quite likely the best-made standard-series D-18 since the mid 1940s.
Sitka spruce top with forward shifted scalloped bracing, South American mahogany back and sides, ebony fingerboard and bridge, tortoiseshell plastic bindings and bevelled-edge pickguard, bone nut and compensated saddle, vintage style tuning machines, old-style headstock logo, vintage-toned nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Modified low-oval neck with 1-3/4′ width at the nut, 25.4′ scale, and satin finish.
With deluxe hardshell case.

Martin’s redesigned standard left-handed D-28 (2017) offers players an appealing combination of vintage-inspired and modern features. They’ve made everything about the venerable Martin D-28L more exciting. Similar to the other 2018 redesigned models, the new Martin D-28 Lefty sports vintage style headstock logo, open geared tuners, bevelled edge faux-tortoise pickguard, and a toned lacquer finish. The top’s bracing is forward shifted but left unscalloped, which is a departure for Martin. Instead, the lower X arms and tone bars are tapered much like the braces on a mid 1940’s D-28, which results in a louder guitar that retains balance across the strings.
The guitar’s neck is carved into Martin’s popular modified low oval, with a high performance fingerboard taper that allows a wider 1-3/4” nut with a flat-pick-friendly 2-5/32 string spread at the bridge. Bone nut and saddle are standard, and the bridge is an attractive modern belly with angled pins.
Kind of like a vintage recreation of a model that never was, the new Martin D-28 Lefty collects features from pre-war, wartime, and postwar versions of its own history. It’s a great sounding guitar, and offers a marked improvement in tone from its predecessor (if you want to know the truth). This is a factory left-handed D-28 (2018).

Martin’s redesigned standard D-28 offers players an appealing combination of vintage-inspired and modern features. They’ve made everything about the venerable D-28 more exciting. The Martin D-35 received a significant overhaul in 2018. Beyond the obvious cosmetic changes, the D-35 now features forward shifted bracing to add even more bass response and warmth to this most-popular model. With its ¼” wide braces, the D-35 is already one of the most lightly braced guitars in the lineup, but shifting the X closer to the soundhole accentuates the lightness, and brings even more low end presence to the instrument. The Martin D-35 is the quintessential strumming guitar, and the perfect choice for backing up voice. Fingerpickers will enjoy its mellow expressiveness.

Indian rosewood three piece back and sides, Sitka spruce top with forward shifted straight bracing, mahogany neck with bound ebony fingerboard, 25.4” scale, 1-3/4” nut, and modified low oval carve. Antique white bindings with multi-stripe purflings, bevelled tortoise-celluloid pickguard, vintage toned high gloss lacquer finish. Old style CF Martin headstock logo, Grover tuners, and bone nut and saddle.

Taking a step back in time, Martin nods its head to its heritage with the 1935 Sunburst HD-28. It’s a great looking take on the modern classic, with a dark shaded top and herringbone touches that are perfectly highlighted by the guitar’s finish.

Ebony fingerboard and bridge, vintage-style appointments, tortoise-celluloid bevel-edge pickguard and open-geared tuners. 1-3/4” nut width, modified low oval neck carve with performance taper, 25.4” scale.

The HD-28 adds scalloped bracing and herringbone top trim to the ever-popular D-28. Martin redesigned their D-28 in mid 2017, and the HD-28 followed on this trend as part of their Standard Series redesign in 2018.
With its forward-shifted scalloped braces, Sitka spruce top and Indian rosewood back and sides, the HD-28 is Martin’s signature Dreadnought. Emulating the D-28s that started it all back in the 1930s, today’s Herringbone D-28 has a powerful bottom end, lots of volume and headroom, richness and warmth, and a strong fundamental presence that’s perfect for flatpicking. It is the archetypical dreadnought, and the most often copied acoustic guitar made.
Like all of Martin’s Standard Series models, the HD-28 has a vintage aesthetic, with herringbone purflings, aged white bindings, vintage style open-geared tuners and an old-style headstock logo. Gloss lacquer finish with a slightly ambered top; bevelled tortoise pickguard, slotted diamond fingerboard inlays, and a zigzag back strip add to the vintage look and red-eye bridge pins finish things off with a little bit of extra style.
Sitka spruce top with forward-shifted scalloped bracing, Indian rosewood back and sides; mahogany neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge. Performing artist low-oval taper with 25.4” scale and a 1-3/4″ nut width.
