1927 Martin 0-18k
Koa body with scalloped bracing, wooden bindings, purflings, and rosette; ebony fingerboard and bridge, bar frets, Waverly tuning machines. Crack-free top and back (cleanly reglued top center seam), three minor repaired cracks on the body's treble side, reproduction bridge and pins, frets, and ebony nut. Completely original and unrepaired bracing and bridgeplate, perfect, invisible neck reset, excellent fingerstyle set up. Original finish throughout, minor French polish touch-up below the bridge (that's largely invisible but under black light). Round neck measures 1-7/8" at the nut, string spread at the bridge is 2-3/8", scale is 24.9".
We have the guitar set-up with light gauge Monel strings and a low fingerstyle set-up. It plays effortlessly and offers all its warmth and vintage dryness under a light attack, making it a beautiful fingerstyle instrument.
