1942 Oahu Model 66K Squareneck
Here's an all-mahogany 66K; a 15-1/4" wide small jumbo (really more like an OM in size), with square neck, Hawaiian set up and some great looks. Sunburst finish on all sides, checkerboard binding, Oahu decal logo, Safe-ti-String tuners. Completely original, including a cool set of original white celluloid bridge pins.
Two very short minor top cracks have been repaired, the bridge reglued, and a few brace-ends cleanly glued. We've set it up in an open D tuning, with light gauge strings to help keep the top belly in check. It's an incredibly good sounding slide guitar, with the volume and presence of a Weissenborn-style instrument. It's quite a richly toned instrument, and quite beguiling as a result.
