1948 Gibson J-45

A one owner, amazingly clean, crack-free and totally original small-bridge J-45. A clear, powerful, loud, and quick guitar, with full and poppy trebles and upper-mids, an open, detailed and woody bass, and excellent string-to-string balance. Playability is superb, with a fresh neck reset by Folkway's Mark Stutman and original full-height saddle and frets. Original tuners, nut, bridge pins and finish. Apart from the reset, the only repairs are a few very cleanly reglued back brace ends. All top brace factory glue joints are intact and tight, the bridge plate is in perfect condition, and the original bridge and saddle are unmodified and still factory glued. The guitar doesn't have any cracks, the top shape is perfect, and the neck reset is nearly invisible. Original frets show only the slightest wear at the first position. Apart from a set of Antique Acoustics reproduction tuner buttons the guitar is dead factory stock and in seriously incredible condition.

Sitka Spruce top with scalloped braces, mahogany back and sides, white bindings, small rosewood bridge, small tortoise celluloid pickguard. Rosewood fingerboard with pearl dot inlays, Kluson tuners, finished-in nylon nut. Original finish throughout with only light dings and dents here and there. 24.75” scale, 1-11/16” nut, rounded C neck carve, and 2-1/8” string spread at the saddle.
