1949 Gibson L-7C
Carved 17” body of sitka and maple with tone-bar bracing, Venetian cut-away and triple ply binding. Highly figured maple neck with bound rosewood fingerboard, split parallelogram inlays and long scale. Excellent neck angle. All original. Perfect action, set-up, and fretwork. The pickguard is long gone, and there are a handful of tiny filled-in screw-holes in the top that disappear into the playwear.
Round neck carve with a late 1940's chunky feel and 1-11/16” nut width.
With original hardshell case
