1952 L-4c Natural
A crack-free guitar with no repairs other than fairly recent new frets and bone nut by our shop, this L-4c’s faults are hard to find. A few scratches on the top’s finish and some finish flaking off the headstock face are about all we can write about. We’ve fit the bridge base to the top, and have set the guitar up with D’Addario 12-53 nickel-bronze roundwound strings, which compliment it nicely.
Carved Sitka spruce top with tonebar bracing and sharp Florentine cut-away. Maple back and sides, white bindings, white/black top purflings, 5-ply pickguard and nickel plated tailpiece. Mahogany neck with bound rosewood fingerboard and pearloid inlays. Pearl logo and crown headstock inlay, individual Kluson tuners with tulip buttons. Round reck carve with 1-11/16” nut and 24.75” scale.
With period Lifton hardshell case
