1959 Fender Champ

A beautifully clean 1959 Champ that was wired by Lily in 1959, and more recently serviced by Dom Tantalo. Cosmetically about as clean as they come, this amp’s tweed, grille, and handle are in remarkable condition. The speaker is the original 8” Oxford dated the 3rd week of 1959, the original Astron caps (which were replaced during service and are included) all date from early 1959, and both transformers are original. Dom rewired the fuse and grounding to modern safety code, and used a three-prong plug that otherwise looks identical to Fender’s grey original. The amp now works perfectly, sounds incredible, and looks much better than almost all of them.
