1966 Gibson Melody Maker D, Pelham Blue

Gibson introduced its Pelham Blue Melody Maker as a standard colour in 1966, the same year that the model was redesigned with the SG body. This example features the earlier double-cut non-SG body in Pelham Blue, which is a rare combination. Add to that the guitar’s Vibrola tailpiece and excellent condition and you’ve got a double-cut Melody Maker that’s about as special as you can find.

Mahogany body with set neck, rosewood fingerboard with pearloid dot inlays, two single-coil MM pickups, original controls, bridge, tuners, pickguard, nut, and frets. Original finish throughout with little wear. 1-19/32 nut width, 24.6” scale. Original frets show almost no wear.

With new hardshell case and rough original chipboard case.
