1973 Fender Vibrolux Reverb

With its lower power 6L6 circuit, double 10” speakers, and tube driven reverb and trem, the Fender Vibrolux Reverb is widely considered to be one of Fender’s best ‘gigging’ amps. It’s not much bigger than a Deluxe Reverb, but offers more clean headroom and broader sonic field thanks to its 35 watts and extra speaker, and you’ll get more of that classic Fender blackface fullness and saturation at a manageable volume than with any of Fender’s other 6L6 powered amplifiers due to the output transformer spec. In short, it’s a versatile design and sounds fabulous.

Apart from added casters, a newer footswitch, and modern tubes, this Vibrolux Reverb is largely original and in great shape. We’ve just had it serviced and retubed and it’s working perfectly. The transformers and speakers are original, as are the Tolex and cloth, and most of the servicing just involved cleaning pots and parts in order to get the signal to noise ratio optimized. It is sounding great, with that immediacy and presence these are known for, and is fully ready to gig.
