1980 Fender Stratocaster Lefty

Here’s a left-handed 1980 Fender Stratocaster with its original left-handed Fender hardshell case for your viewing (and playing) pleasure! Like many Fender guitars built from 1977 to 1981 this guitar looks like a 1978 model, complete with 1978 serial number and late 70's looks. But under the pickguard you'll find original pots and pickups dated to mid 1980.

Sunburst finish with maple neck, bullet truss-rod, and large CBS headstock. Ash body, black pickguard, F-tuners, and tremolo bridge. There's some light and even playwear to the frets, and the finish is in excellent condition with worn-though sections on the front and back in the usual places.

Set-up here at Folkway, the guitar plays as nicely as it looks, too. Pickups measure 5.7 (neck) 5.7(middle), and 7.3 (bridge). 8.3Lbs. Neck has a deep C feel with 1-5/8” nut, and is much more full than Fender’s typical mid 70’s carve.
