1994 Guild X-700

The Guild X-700 was introduced in 1994 as an upgrade to the company’s flagship X-500. It’s a similar guitar to its predecessor but features a carved spruce top, rather than the laminate maple top of the X-500, for a warmer acoustic voice and resonance.

This example is in marvellous condition and is completely original. It has a very low serial number and among the first X-700s built in Westerly. It has been set up in our shop and plays easily and cleanly on gently-worn original frets.

17” full-depth, fully hollow archtop body with figured maple back and sides and carved spruce top. Multi-layered bindings throughout, 3-ply black pickguard, pearl and abalone V-block inlays, gold hardware and gloss lacquer finish. Standard 4-control wiring with factory original master-volume. 1-3/4” nut width, D neck carve, 24.75” scale.

With original hardshell case
