1999 Gretsch 6119 Tennessee Rose LH

The 6119 Tennessee Rose is quite similar to a 6120 model but for a long scale (25.4”) neck and different tone-circuit wiring and switching. It’s a popular take on the traditional Gretsch hollow-body theme, and well suited to anything from Jazz to Rockabilly. The long-scale neck cleans up the set-up and adds some sustain and power, while doing a good job of bettering intonation and reducing the fretbuzz often present in short-scale Gretsch models.

This 1999 example is in amazing condition and looks nearly brand new. It’s been hot-rodded with TV Jones Super’Tron pickups, which offer similar output to a set of Filter’Trons but have a slightly more accentuated lower mid-range. Currently set up with flatwound 12-52 for a jazzy feel, this Tennessee Rose has a great acoustic ring, perfect intonation, and a fast touch. The neck has a low C carve and 1-11/16” nutwidth.
