2003 Bourgeois Vintage D
A superb instrument with thick and meaty tone and a wide and dynamic response. Bourgeois guitars are built to offer excellent tone at any attack strength, and this guitar certainly delivers. While it's at its best under strong flat-picking, the guitar offers surprisingly full tone with a lighter attack as well, which is something we don't often find in Dreadnoughts by other builders. The lightly braced spruce top shows deflection typical of Bourgeois guitars.
The guitar is in excellent condition, 100% original, and perfectly set-up. The original frets show very light wear in the first 5 frets, and there is no playwear to the body. A small scratch in the lacquer on the back of the neck and a spot of finish discoloration caused by a headstock tuner are the guitar’s only cosmetic flaws.
25.5" scale neck with C carve and 1-23/32" nut width. 2-7/32" string spread at the bridge. Waverly tuning machines, bone nut and saddle, hand-beveled tortoise-celluloid pickguard, gloss finish. The neck is .081” thick at the 1st fret and .091” thick at the 9th.
With hardshell case.
