2004 Froggy Bottom A12 Standard Lefty

Froggy Bottom’s A12 Standard is a 00-sized 12 fret model with an exceptionally light build, remarkable tone, and understated elegance. It’s quite exciting to have a left-handed version in the store, as most of us lefties have never had a chance to play a Froggy in person. I’m glad to say this guitar very much lives up to my expectations. It’s a wonderfully open, sweet-sounding and full-bodied, responsive and well balanced guitar with strong and round trebles and plenty of bass end warmth. Fingerstyle or flatpicking are equally rewarding, and the guitar gives its all in standard or open tunings. With touch-sensitivity similar to a 1920’s Martin and modern playability, this Froggy Bottom A12 has much to offer.

Mahogany back and sides, Adirondack spruce top with incredibly tiny braces, small bridge plate, and small rectangle bridge. Figured maple binding with carefully mitred purfling strips and colorful herringbone backstrip and rosette. Maple-bound Madagascar rosewood headplate, slotted headstock, Waverly tuning machines, bone nut and saddle, ebony fingerboard and mahogany neck. Bald eagle scrimshaw on the heel cap.

Low C neck carve with 1-3/4” nut width, 25” scale, 2-3/16” string spread at the bridge. Currently set up with very low fingerstyle action of 4-5 64ths and a low saddle. We’ll be happy to raise the action upon request.

In excellent condition with very little playwear. There are a few very small finish craze-lines on the back of the headstock, but the finish is otherwise in near-perfect condition.
