2011 Collings C10 Maple/German Deco
The C10 Deco features a standard Collings C10 build, with pre-war style scalloped braces, long scale neck with a round, full carve, and a 1-11/16” nut. The guitar’s top is German spruce and the back and sides are figured hard maple. The model’s light build and wide X bracing are well matched to the German spruce and maple tone woods; the guitar has a throaty and powerful mid-range, open and defined low end, and rounded and strong trebles. It’s a responsive guitar with excellent dynamics and touch sensitivity, and it’s a heck of a lot of fun to play.
In excellent condition and completely original, this Collings is both a showpiece and a guitar you’ll want to play all the time. There’s a touch of fretwear and one small ding on the upper treble bout of the top but the guitar is otherwise immaculate. Collings supplied two pickguards with the guitar - one black, the other tortoise – both of which are in the case pocket.
