2013 Boucher Walnut Goose "D"

The Boucher Studio Walnut Goose Dreadnought features a scalloped-braced red spruce top, figured walnut back and sides, herringbone trim, and high gloss finish. Made in Quebec, Boucher guitars pick up where Larrivée left off in the Canadian-made, high-end guitar market-place, offering players a nicely made and tastefully appointed acoustic with a high CanCon score.

This example is in excellent condition and has been professionally outfitted with a Fishman Matrix Infinity pickup system. Set up at Folkway, it plays easily and cleanly, with lowish action of 4.5-5.5 64ths at the 12th fret. Apart from one scratch on the back the guitar presents as-new, and shows little to no playwear.

Low Oval neck carve, 1-3/4” nut width, 2-3/16” spread at the saddle, 25.4” scale.

A balanced and strident guitar, the Walnut Studio Goose has a tone somewhere in between a rosewood and a mahogany dreadnought.
