2013 Fender Custom Shop 1963 Telecaster Relic

With its tastefully aged Lake Placid Blue finish, heavenly ’63 neck carve with modern 9.5” radius and tall 6105 frets, Custom Shop Twisted Tele pickups with modern wiring, quartersawn neck, and vintage appointments, there’s really nothing about this guitar that we’d spec out differently. It’s got everything going on, and there’s no way it won’t make a better guitar player out of you too!

The neck has a medium C/D carve, with a depth of .818” at the 1st fret and .908” at the 12th. Nutwidth is vintage-spec 1-5/8”, and the guitar has been set-up in-shop with 10-46 strings. Weight is 7.5 lbs.

Fretwear is minimal, and there is no significant wear beyond the original Fender factory aging.

Twisted Tele pickup are probably our favourite Telecaster set from Fender; they’re powerful and springy, bright but full bodied, and the hot bridge pickup is wonderfully fat.
