2014 Fender Custom Shop Stratocaster 1963 Relic
The trio of Custom Shop hand-wound '60s Strat pickups - measuring 6K (N), 5.75K (M), and 5.7K (B) - offer full-bodied and articulate tones with the powerful midrange support that defines the sound of original black-bottom Stratocaster pickups. The immensely comfortable mid-'60s oval C neck crave has a first fret depth of 0.81" and a twelfth fret depth of 0.93".
The nitrocellulose sunburst finish has been relic'd quite tastefully and is some of the most convincing aging we have seen come out of Fender's Custom Shop.
Set-up in house, the guitar plays easily with action of 4-5 64ths at the twelfth fret. We have adjusted the tremolo so it functions smoothly and offers immediate response.
25.5” scale neck with 1-5/8” nut-width, string spacing of 2-3/16" at the bridge, weight of 7.75lbs.
With original hardshell case and COA.
