2015 Taylor Folkway Custom GA

Designed by Folkway Music’s Mark Stutman and built by Taylor in 2015, the Folkway Custom GA was built in very limited numbers and features a cedar and rosewood body with CV X bracing, short-scale neck, and bone nut and saddle. Simply appointed, the body, soundhole and neck are bound in ivoroid, and the rosette is a ring of abalone pearl. Gloss finish, microdot inlays, pearl logo in a rosewood headstock overlay and nickel tuners finish of the refined look of the model. There are a total of 7 of these Folkway Custom GAs on earth, and each features a customized Taylor/Folkway logo inside the soundhole - something we’re kinda proud of! This example has had a K&K pickup installed in our shop as well.


A warm and open guitar that’s quite unlike any production Taylor flattop that ever was, the Folkway Custom GA has a very pretty and well rounded voice with excellent string balance, a rich midrange, quick attack and lovely response to a light to medium right hand. It’s particularly full-sounding through the trebles, and offers a very well developed bass end that’s dark but not mushy.

1-3/4” nut width, 2-3/16” string spread at the saddle, 24-7/8” scale. In excellent condition and without cracks, repairs, or any damage. Very light fretwear, some light pick-marking by the sound hole and a few very minor dings here and there. Set-up in shop.
