2016 Fender Masterbuilt Dale Wilson '55 Esquire Relic
An incredible creation, Fender Master Builder Dale Wilson proves he’s at the top of his class. To start, the neck carve is pure heaven, with a deep rounded U profile and the feel of a 65 year old guitar. The body finish and aging are both tastefully done and quite believable, and the hardware looks fabulous. At the heart of the guitar is its hand-wound bridge pickup and Full Throttle wiring that lets you bypass the volume and tone controls in position 1 of the switch. It’s a great feature for an Esquire, and the tone is straight out of your dreams.
The guitar is in mint condition (if you can call a relic such a thing). Its frets and set-up are perfect, and the instrument shows no playtime. There’s no extra wear, let’s say. And if you’re curious, the body is routed for a bridge pickup should you want to drop in a Tele neck pickup and a different pickguard.
Complete with original center-pocket tweed case and all original case accoutrements, including CruzTools, bridge ashtray cover, COA, etc.
