2019 Gretsch G6120 Brian Setzer Nashville

The Gretsch Brian Setzer Signature 6120 Nashville “Smoke” is a faithful recreation of the Grammy-winning Stray Cats guitarist’s main stage guitar since his ‘Strat Cat’ 6120 was retired a number of years ago. Vintage correct details include the guitar’s headstock shape and logo, pickguard design, control layout, and the guitar’s distinctive ‘Smoke Orange’ semi-gloss nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Modern player-preferred touches include the guitar’s oversized F-holes and trestle bracing (okay, that’s a vintage feature, too), pinned adjust-o-matic bridge, compound radius ebony fretboard with rolled edges, the TV Jones Ray Butts Full-fidelity Filter’Tron pickups, and Gotoh locking tuners. It’s the dream 6120, combining the best of vintage and modern features for the ultimate in playability and tone.

This example is in close-to-new condition and has been carefully set-up here at Folkway. The neck has a subtle V carve, 1-11/16” nut, and 24.6” scale. Depth at 1st fret is .83”, depth at 12th fret is .91”.

Very little playwear to speak of, frets are unworn, and you’d find all the original case accoutrements in the original hardshell. Included are a set of ‘dice’ control knobs that are easily installed for the full Setzer vibe.
