Deering’s Goodtime 19 Fret Irish Tenor open back banjo is a USA-made instrument that offers excellent materials, workmanship, playability and tone for players looking for an Irish Tenor banjo on a budget. We prefer 19 fret Irish Tenors over 17 fret models for the improvements in tuning, intonation, and string tension that the longer neck affords. We upgrade all of our Goodtimes with planetary tuners, too, because, well, isn’t it obvious?

Three ply maple 11” rim, maple neck with integrated fingerboard, laser-cut inlays, satin finish, under-coated head, and nickel hardware. 1-5/32” nut, 23” scale.
