Headstrong Lil’ King Reverb 12”

Based on Fender’s Black-era Princeton Reverb, this Headstrong Lil’ King R features the same AA1164 Circuit, large-box spring reverb, power tube bias trem, controls and cabinet dimensions as an original mid 60’s Fender amp but was ordered with a 12” Alessandro GA-SC64 ceramic speaker for a little bit more bass handling and mid-range power. It’s a great sounding amplifier, with lots of warmth, clean headroom, and beautiful ‘verb and it starts to breaks up gloriously at around 4 on the volume knob.

This example is in excellent condition and was purchased new here at Folkway a number of years back. It’s a good looking amp, too, with black tolex, wheat grill, black faceplate, and cream knobs.

With original two button foot switch
