Iris MS-00 Custom Burst
The MS-00 is the latest new Iris Model, and it was designed in conjunction with Folkway’s own Mark Stutman (hence the MS in the model name). The MS-00 features a 30's 00-shaped body that’s built with Iris’s trademark tapered X / scalloped tonebar bracing pattern, and a true short scale (24.75”). Being a one-of-a-kind first edition show guitar, it was built with highly figured curly mahogany back and sides, a red spruce top with Cremona-inspired sunburst, a bevelled-edge ivoroid pickguard, and particularly attractive rosewood bridge and fingerboard. It’s a great looking guitar, and quite a bit fancier than the standard MS models will be when they start to roll out of Iris’s Burlington, Vermont factory. Built with a 1-3/4 nut, deep rounded neck, and 2-5/16” string spread at the bridge, the guitar has a vintage feel to go along with its vintage-inspired looks and tone.
We’ll be stocking the production MS-00 models once they become available, but are certainly quite excited to offer this entirely unique and very special first-edition for now!
