National Collegian Aged Ivory

Built in fairly limited numbers in the late 1930s and early '40s, the Collegian was at that time National's least expensive model. Its yellow paint finish and simple coverplate differentiated the model from the pricier Duolians, but the instruments are otherwise pretty much the same. Eighty or so years later, the fine folks at National Reso-Phonic have recreated this classic model and have done it wonderfully well. We love the aged ivory finish style, the matching coverplate, and the subtle sunburst over the body.

Thin-gauged steel, 14-fret body, maple neck with paddle headstock and vintage decal logo, three-on-a-strip vintage style open geared tuners, bone nut, radiussed and bound ebony fingerboard, pearl dot inlays, aged brass tailpiece. Truss-rod equipped neck, and removable palm rest add easy adjustability to the classic design.

Rounded soft V neck carve, 25" scale, 1-13/16" width at the nut.
