Recent Fender American Vintage '72 Telecaster Custom

Serial # V05649. The American Vintage '72 Tele Custom pays homage to one of the greatest instruments of the 1970's. Introduced in 1972 along side the Tele Deluxe, and Thinline, the Custom featured Fender's Wide Range Humbucker (designed by Seth Lover of PAF fame) in the neck position and a standard Tele pickup in the bridge. Fender's humbucker is brighter and bassier than a Gibson PAF, and tends to balance better with the Telecaster bridge pickup as a result. You'll find Tele Customs in the hands of Keith Richards, Mick Green, and the Edge, among others.

This USA-built '72 Reissue features an ash body, sunburst lacquer finish, one-piece maple neck with three-bolt micro tilt attachment and bullet truss rod. F-style tuners, 1972 decal logo, bone nut, 7.25" fingerboard radius with vintage style frets, thee ply black pickguard, skirted knobs, and three-saddle bridge.

The guitar is in near-perfect condition, but does have one small finish chip on its edge, and a few very minor scratches. No fretwear, and perfectly set-up in our shop.

With original G&G hardshell case, original hang-tags and Fender strap in the case pocket.
