1922-5 Washburn Style 701 Soprano

Washburn’s Style 701 ukulele was offered between 1922 and 1925. It was second of 5 styles of ukulele listed in their catalog during those years, and featured ivoroid bindings, raised soundhole and a simple ivoroid inlay in the headstock. The body is built of solid mahogany with three-ply laminated sides, and the instrument is braced very lightly for a loud and snappy tone. This example is in fabulous condition and plays well with standard action. It’s 100% original and untouched, including its rear-entry canvas case.
