1952 Martin D-28

Here is a guitar for everyone on earth to drool over. This guitar is aMartin D-28 #133503, built in 1952, in almost-new condition. It was broughthere by its original owner for a neck-reset, a bridge-reglue, a bridge-platereplacement, and a set-up - all covered by Martin's Lifetime Warranty! This instrument had not been out of its case in some 40 years, and with theexception of a pickguard crack the guitar was impeccable! The top is ofAdirondack (red) spruce, the back and sides are of perfectly quarteredBrazilian rosewood. The nut and saddle are Ivory, and the originalridge-back tuners were in perfect working order. Our jaws dropped when weopened the case!

The best part was playing this guitar after we completed the work - itsounded better that it looked! We thought that it wouldn't sound greatafter having not been played for four decades, but were we ever wrong! Itwas, without any exaggeration, 100% unbelievable.

Anyway, I figured that all you guitar-o-philes would really like to have alook at this D-28. The photos were taken after the repairs were completed,on the morning that it was taken back home by a very happy older Martinguitar owner.
Oh, one more thing - don't get too excited, because it's not for sale!
Enjoy!
