1953 Gibson ES-125

FON Y4098-25. Built in substantial numbers throughout the 1950's the Gibson ES-125 was the company's most affordable electric guitar. The instrument features a non-cut-away 16" body with arched maple top and back, single P-90 pickup in the neck position, and simple appointments.

This example is a real beauty and in very fine condition. Its finish is in good shape, and there are no repairs or damage to report on. The tuner buttons have been replaced, but it's otherwise factory stock. The tailpiece isn't the norm for this model, but there is nothing suggesting that it's ever been changed, so we're calling it original. The P-90 sounds incredible, and the electronics work well. Frets are original and mostly unworn, nut has never been off, and the guitar plays well. Set up in shop with .012's; round neck, 1-11/16" nut, 24.75" scale.
