1960 Martin 0-18T
Sitka-spruce was the top wood being used by C.F. Martin from 1946 on, but we suspect the Adirondack top on this tenor is leftover from a time in the 50's when they used it again for a short period. The guitar is in excellent condition apart from a small area of play wear on the top, adjacent to the fingerboard, and a section of worn-off finish along the back of the neck. A replacement end-pin is the only non-original part. The guitar is essentially crack-free, save for the smallest pickguard crack between the bridge and the 'guard. Bridge is full height, and equipped with its original saddle and pins. Original nut and tuners.
Mahogany back and sides, Brazilian rosewood fretboard and bridge, mahogany neck, Grover tuners, ivory nut and saddle, 23" scale and 1-3/16" nut. Set up with strings gauged .014" to .044", the neck shows perfect relief, and the action at the 12th fret is set at 5/64" across the strings.
With original chip board case
