1963 Epiphone Olympic

The Epiphone Olympic was offered from 1960 through 1969 and was, essentially, an Epiphone-branded Gibson Melody Maker. But not really. It’s so much cooler, isn’t it?!

This example dates from 1963 and features a full-width 1-11/16” nut and typical ’63 Gibson neck carve. It’s completely original and in incredible condition. The fretboard still shows the factory planer marks, and the frets are unworn. It’s perfectly set up with 4-5 64ths action and it plays easily and cleanly. Electronics are untouched and working without issue. Original tuners with original buttons, slightly bent D string post. The finish is crazed but without much wear; there are a few minor dings and chips but really nothing of any real consequence to describe here. 5.75 lbs. Pots date 36th and 41st week of 1963, Neck is .825” at the 1st fret and .983” thick at the 9th.
