1964 Fender Jaguar

Fender's Jaguar was the company's top-of-the-line model upon its introduction in the spring of 1962. This new professional-level model featured the same rhythm circuit and offset body styling of the Jazzmaster, while boasting more power and brightness, more lead circuit tone options and switching, better shielding against 60 cycle hum and a 24" scale length for ease of playability.

This mid 1964 build is an excellent example of a "Pre-CBS" Jaguar. It's a completely original guitar, save for a replaced bridge and updated pickup height foam. The vibrant three-tone Sunburst finish remains relatively unfaded and presents beautifully with some great natural playwear throughout. Pot codes dated to the 8th week of 1964 and a neck stamped March of 1964 suggest that the guitar was completed sometime in the spring of '64.

The original and unmodified pickups sound excellent, offering a rich and airy response in the bridge position that is balanced perfectly with the warm and articulate voice of the neck pickup. This 1964 Fender Jaguar offers much more power, warmth, and touch sensitivity than one might expect.

24” scale, B-sized neck with a nut width just shy of 1-5/8". C-shaped neck carve with a depth of .804” at the 1st fret and .993” at the 12th. Pickup DC values are 6.5k in the neck and and 6.6k in the bridge. Weight of 8lb 5oz.

With original hardshell case.
