1965 Fender Pro

The AB763 Pro is one of the rarer Black-Panel Fender amp models, having been made from 1963 to 1965 in just a few production runs. This example has a June 1965 date on its tube chart, and is from the 2nd production run. It’s a 6L6 amp that offers about 30 watts through a 15” speaker, and is very much akin to its more-famous cousin, the Vibroverb, but without the reverb.

This example is in exceptional shape and is largely all original. It’s currently set up with an Eminence Legend 1518 speaker, and the original is safely stored in the box. Transformers are all original and date to mid 1964. The tolex and grill are in excellent shape, and a set of casters has been professionally added.

It’s a great sounding amp, and takes pedals fabulously.

With newer cover and footswitch.
