1966 Patt Lister Classical

Serial # 20. Patt Lister is one of lesser-known fathers of Canadian guitar building. In the 1960's his experimentations with lattice bracing laid the ground work for builders three and four decades later. Lister worked in aircraft engineering before retiring to build guitars, and his experience in that field inspired his bracing designs. The top and back of this guitar are constructed with a fine lattice brace pattern. Sergei De Jonge apprenticed with Pat after leaving Larrivee's shop in 1971, and is a proponent of lattice bracing to this day.

The guitar is built of Indian rosewood and Spruce (German, most likely). Maple bindings, maple-leaf mosaic rosette; mahogany neck and ebony fingerboard. 650mm scale, 53mm nut. Set up with an action of 3 to 4 mm at the 12th fret, with little saddle left. One repaired back crack, otherwise issue-free.
