1974-5 Gibson SG Standard Lefty
The guitar was sent to Folkway by its original owner, who clearly took very good care of it for the last 45 or so years. The finish shows very little playwear and almost no fade, and the plating on the metal components isn’t tarnished or worn. Original tuners, nut, pickups, bridge, tailpiece, double pickguards, switch, controls and jack. Shielding foil has been added to the control cavity, and the capacitors and pots are likely replacements.
One-piece mahogany body, mahogany neck with ebony fingerboard, pearl rectangle position markers, and original Gibson-branded sealed tuners. 7.6 lbs.
Perfect neck angle, easy/fast setup, refretted with vintage-style wire fairly recently. 1-9/16 nutwidth, 24.75” scale.
With original hardshell case.
