1974 Levin W-36

Serial # 534205 C.F. Martin bought the Swedish instrument manufacturer Levin in 1973. Under their management, Levin offered a number of Martin-inspired new models, including the W-36. Styled after the D-18, and featuring similar trim and solid tonewoods, the W-36 was a fine guitar. The costs of operating in Sweden ultimately proved too high for Martin, and it wasn't long before the plug was pulled on its European subsidiary.

The W-36 features an Alpine European spruce top, solid mahogany sides and back, and rosewood fingerboard and bridge with individually adjustable bridge saddles. This example is in excellent condition and crack-free. It does, however, require a neck reset to play with acceptable action, and its lifting bridge will need to be reglued.

It is being offered AS-IS.
