2005 Yanuziello Koa Resophonic

With each Yanuziello instrument that we come by, our admiration of this luthier's skills, attention to detail, and design sense increases tenfold. I really can't think of a builder who's instruments I consistently like more than Joe Yanuziello's.

This 2005 Koa resonator really exemplifies why Yanuziello's instruments are so sought after by musicians all over the world. The guitar's figured koa body and ebony fingerboard are bound in grained ivoroid, as is the ebony headstock overlay. Tasteful and stylish pearl inlays grace the fingerboard, and though the routes in the headstock you can see the maple underlay peeking through. Waverly tuners with ivoroid buttons, and ivoroid strap buttons finish it off with an extra touch of class. Quarterman hand-spun cone and spider bridge, bone nut, adjustable truss-rod, and perfect frets.

The neck on this guitar feels perfect - it's not to big or small; carved into a medium C profile, it has a nut width of 1-3/4" and a scale length of 25". Nitrocellulose lacquer finish is factory-perfect and buffed to a high gloss. Although this is a pre-owned instrument, it shows virtually no signs of use or wear. As beautiful in tone as it is in looks.
