2011 Weber Coyote Lefty

Serial # 11400201. The Weber Coyote is a custom model that was built in limited numbers for one of the builder's busier US-based retailers. Essentially a dressed up Bitterroot, the Coyote features a tonebar-braced, hand-graduated, aged Sitka spruce top and figured maple back and sides. Carved with traditional F-style scrolls and points, finished in a dark tobacco sunburst satin lacquer, and bound throughout in grained ivoroid, the Coyote is a very attractive left-handed mandolin.

A comfortable F5, the instrument features a wider nut width of 1-11/16", radiussed fingerboard, and modern-profile frets. The fingerboard extension was 'scooped' by Luthier Michael Heiden for better access to the strings, and a new Loar-style bridge and nut were fit by Heiden as well. The tailpiece has been upgraded, and final set-up was done in our shop. The mandolin really does play beautifully.

A loud instrument with a lot of cut and chop, this Weber is one that will jump in front of most other instruments in a jam. It has plenty of fundamental presence, and its very robust E and A strings make it a strong lead player.

In excellent condition, the instrument is near flawless but for a few chips on the headstock's edges. Its finish has glossed up on the neck and on the top below its strings. Very light fretwear.

With original Weber hardshell case, original bridge and tailpiece in the case pocket.
