c.1950 Martin 1T Uke

No serial number. This Martin tenor was most likely built in the very early 1950's, when the US was in the throes of a Ukulele revival, thanks to all the soldiers returning from the Pacific after WWII. It's larger body size makes for a louder and fuller sounding instrument than a concert or soprano, tuned at the same pitch.

Tortoiseshell celluloid bound mahogany body, unbound rosewood fingerboard, rosewood bridge. Completely original but for new bridge pins. One repaired back crack, minor edge repair at top's lower treble bout. Excellent action and set up. 17" scale, 1-11/32" nut width.

With original Geib chipboard case
