David Martin Lap Steel

A recent build by Folkway’s Dave Martin, this lap steel features exquisite workmanship, gorgeous detailing, and a seriously good sounding Lollar Chicago Steel pickup. The vintage-style hourglass body is built of quarter sawn cherry and figured maple and is trimmed with half-herringbone binding and rosewood purflings. The rosewood fretboard is finished with maple frets, gold mother of pearl dots, and rosewood bindings. Rosewood string-through body, brass nut and saddle, Gotoh vintage style tuners, knurled dome knobs, and Electrosocket output jack. The instrument has a satin rubbed oil finish and 23” scale.

It's gorgeous to look at, and equally beautiful to listen to.
